City tour is a great way to see Saint Petersburg for the first time. You'll see the main street of the city - Nevsky prospect that has been poetized. It spreads to a length of 4260m. You'll see the outstanding sights of Saint Petersburg such as Kazan Cathedral, St.Isaac's Cathedral, Peter-and-Paul's Fortress, Admiralty, Hermitage, Arch of the General Staff, Palace square and much more. You'll learn fascinating historical facts and city legends.
You can make up your own tour and choose your own spots of interest.

2. City tour & the Peter-and-Paul Fortress.
The tour includes a city tour #1 (see above) and the Peter-and-Paul Fortress. The Fortress was founded in 1703 by Peter I. You can visit a museum of the Trubetskoy bastion jail, the Mint, the Printing-house, the Museum of the cosmonautics and rocket production, the Peter-and-Paul cathedral that houses the burial-vault of the royal family of Romanovs. You’ll also have a panoramic view of the Neva river.

3. City tour & St.Isaac's Cathedral.
The tour includes a city tour #1 (see above) and St.Isaac's Cathedral, the third largest domed cathedral in the world. The prominent creation of the architect Auguste Ricard de Montferrand, the cathedral has become one of the symbols of the city. The cathedral is embellished with more than 150 paintings, 300 statues and 60 mosaics. The stained-glass window placed in the depth of the sanctuary of St.Isaac's is one of the grandest stained-glass decorations in Russia. The window's total area is 28.5 square meters. St.Isaac's decorative ensemble comprises 112 monolithic columns of 114 tons each. You can also visit the colonnade (43 m high) where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city from high above.

5. The State Hermitage museum.
The State Hermitage is placed in six majestic buildings along the embankment of the Neva river in the center of St.Petersburg. The core of the unique architectural ensemble is the Winter palace, the former residence of the Russian tsar family, built in 1754-1762 by the architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli. Besides the Winter palace, the museum occupies the east wing of the General staff building, the Menshikov palace, and the recently built Repository. The Hermitage houses one of the world's largest art collections including about 3 million art pieces from the Stone Age up to the modern days.

6. The State Russian museum.
The State Russian museum is the greatest collection of Russian art in the world featuring works from medieval icons to avant-garde art. The museum was founded in 1895 by order of Emperor Nicholas II in commemoration of his father Emperor Alexander III. The collection includes about 40 000 art works. Annually, the museum hosts about 30 temporary exhibitions.

7. Tsarskoye selo (Pushkin).
Tsarskoye Selo is one of the magnificent monuments of the world architecture and landscape art of the 18th century. The favorite residence of the Russian royal family consists of the Alexander Palace and the Catherine Palace where the world-famous Amber Room is located. You'll also enjoy the Catherine and Alexander parks that contain more than 100 architectural features such as pavilions, bridges and marble monuments.

8. Pavlovsk.
The palace and park at Pavlovsk are a monument of late 18th-early 19th century. The palace was a summer residence of Emperor Paul I and his Family. The Pavlovsk estate covers more than 600 hectars, its park is one of the largest landscape parks in Russia and Europe. The palace rooms are decorated with Italian sculpture, a magnificent collection of the Russian portrait paintings, and graphic and oil painting of Pavlovsk.

10. Peterhof.
Peterhof is a world-famous country residence of the Russian royal family. Located on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, it attracts tourists from all over the world. Peterhof is a kingdom of palaces and fountains. It contains 4 cascades, more than 150 fountains and 17 museums. The center of the Peterhof ensemble is the Grand palace. It's an elegant three-storied building with numerous galleries that is situated on the natural bluff. You'll be charmed by splendid Dancing hall, Chessmen hall and West and East Chinese rooms. The oak study room of the Peter I and the oak staircase are carefully preserved at the palace.
