Complete set consists of an egg and a stand/support, made from natural wood (linden tree). This set is completely handmade and unique. It is painted with tempera and richly decorated with golden leaf. This set is usually covered with 4-6 layers of lacquer.
A fragment of the ballet “Apollo”, done to Igor Stravinsky's music is depicted on the presented egg. It was choreographed by George Balanchin. The world premier took place in Paris on June 12, 1928 and the Russian premier on January 26, 1992 in the Mariinsky Theater .
