This set of Matryoshka dolls is completely handmade and unique. Each single doll is made of natural wood (linden tree). They are all mostly painted with tempera and richly decorated with golden leaf. The dolls are usually covered with 4-6 layers of lacquer.
This brilliant and multi-colored set is made in accordance to Puskin’s “Tale of Tsar Saltan” which is represented step by step. The plot of the story is very rich and it even seems that 30 pieces are not enough to illustrate it all. This magic fairy-tale is full of adventure and heroes. We can meet wonderful creatures, such as Swan Princess, brave knights, and a squirrel, which turns nuts into precious stones…
